We've all been there - scrolling through our Facebook feed and see an ad for a new product that seems interesting
But then we start reading the reviews and we're not sure if we can trust them - Is this product really as good – or as bad - as they say it is?
Here are my tips
Don’t trust social media posts or ads!
There is very little if any regulation or control on Facebook – especially for paid adverts.
Treat anything on Facebook as propaganda or spin and you won’t go too far wrong!
Ideally look for genuine customer reviews
on Amazon. eBay or direct sales sites but remember that genuine customers are likely to be excessively impatient and critical but that also serves your purpose
Check video reviews if you insist
but do remember that a growing number are just sales pitches looking for commission on your purchase (whicj or course they'll recommend!) so be very sceptical here
