MEGHAN (KINDLY?) OVERLOOKED PALACE SEXIST REMARKS ????
SURELY THERE WAS ALSO SPECULATION ABOUT THE SEX OF MEGHAN'S FIRST BABY TOO????
For goodness sake Meghan and Harry are well into their 30's and parents of 1 plus 1 more imminent.
isn't it time they grew into some maturity?
Meghan's inflamatory report about Palace speculation of Archie's skin colour is
a. HERESAY - it was actually Harry who heard the remark whatever it was
b. HISTORIC - they admit it was long ago (clearly) before 2 year-old Archie was born
c. COLOURED - no I don't mean racist but coloured by the animosity the couple now feel for almost everybody
d. RECKLESS - at best, SPITEFUL perhaps and guaranteed to fuel outcry in an era of heightened racial and ethnic tension
Meghan's own father has expressed his regret and dismay at his daughter's comments.
As for Harry, sibling jealousy is possibly never so intense as amongst the "Royal Queue"!
They snit about Archie not being made Prince contrary to rules and customs in place since 1907.
They want to live simply (in their $15M mansion), self-congratulate about rescuing a handful of chickens and make pointed remarks about "anyone can serve" but clearly neither one was up to the real responsibility and DUTY of being an active UK Royal.
In any other profession the income stops when you leave and Royal duties are no different. "Poor" Harry bleats about being cut off by his father but lets not forget that he inherited almost £10M from his mother Diana!
Charles undoubtedly has many faults but at least he is not guilty of using British taxpayers' money to support his errant son.
Many families have their issues and disputes and clearly the Royal family is not exempt but most of us have the decency to just get on with our lives without causing undue fuss. Meghan and Harry have far more public following due to his birth than to either's career.
The future of their "back to basics" but extraordinarily lavish lifestyle is virtually guaranteed by that following but I for one am disgusted at their abuse of that privileged position for petulent and selfish reason. Of course the media hyenas will lap up whatever gossip and scandal is thrown their way and there are enough gullible or politically trigger-happy people out there just waiting for another flag to wave.
Of course we would all sympathise with whatever anguish Megan and Harry have endured but most of the rest of us have to "suck it up", "man up" and "keep calm and carry on" even when we don't live in a superstar mansion in California. Having a (public) voice is a privilege. Abusing that is a shameful travesty.
In an almost unprecedented response
“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”
