Appointments, appointments

So much for keeping your enemies close huh?  If Sally Yates felt so strongly that she wouldn’t do the job she’s there to do why couldn’t she have just resigned instead of exposing her disloyalty in a public order that forced me to sack her?

Still it would have been nice to have called her for a meeting and then just pointed at her and said the immortal words “You’re fired!” but traitors don’t even warrant that much of my time.  I’m tempted just to Twitter her dismissal but I suppose someone will have to write a formal letter … hand-delivered - let’s not waste a stamp.

That’s what I get for trusting in a woman I suppose but this is still only an acting position so it’s damned inconvenient that we can’t just confirm my nomination of Jeff Sessions for the post.  Am I not the, my principal nominee, go nuclear on the appointment (yet) or disband the Senate altogether.

So I needed a temporary replacement - preferably a woman so as not to give the faggotty bra-burning feminists and their pussy-whipped media friends any more ammunition for unfairly calling me a sexist!  But outside of Melania and possibly a few interns the need for someone who would do as they’re told and do their job (in that order) seems to contradict choosing a woman.

Looking down the list of candidates my eye was drawn to Dana J. Boente, the United States attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, not a woman as such but on a quick analysis of names he might just pass.

So, after a quick check that the name implies no cross-dressing or transgenderism waiting to come out of the closet – and indeed no closet issues at all - Mr. Boente was sworn in on condition that his first announcement would be to rescind Ms. Yates’s order.

Nominated Neil Gorsuch to be the next Supreme Court justice, to fill the vacancy left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.  This shouldn’t surprise anybody but of course takes place in a media frenzy and inspires a shitstorm of Democratic opposition despite the fact that many of them supported his appointment to federal court.

Anybody I chose would suffer the same objections but if the process gets gridlocked then I will not hesitate to go nuclear and just change the rules on Senate approval.

Today’s been heavy and so it’s a good thing that the Mexican President , Enrique Peña Nieto cancelled today’s scheduled visit.  That’s given me more time to deal with these housekeeping issues and given him more time to think about where his country's economic bread is buttered.
