UK NHS, SOCIAL SECURITY, PERSONAL CHOICE, FREEDOM and RESPONSIBILITY
Recent talk of Covid passports has sparked a furious debate over personal rights and freedoms, But what about the implications and your SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY?
Personal freedom IS a right BUT many of the loudest protesters in its favour often forget that it comes with responsibility too.
Live in isolation, self-sufficient away from the trappings and benefits of society then you really are free But with every aspect of life in which you rely on, or interface with, others then your freedom is increasingly tempered by the rights, freedoms and responsibilities of the society you have joined.
YOU ARE FREE TO REJECT INOCULATION - IT'S YOUR BODY AFTER ALL
Nobody should be forced to inoculate against Covid or any other infectious disease provided they do not subsequently interact with anyone else - including the NHS. To claim personal right and freedom in rejecting recommended inoculation and then - upon falling ill - demand NHS support is a ridiculous "cake and eat it" scenario.
BUT THE NHS RECOMMENDS AND RELIES ON THE VACCINE FOR IT TO COPE & SURVIVE
So why should the NHS, its overworked staff and financial supportes (i.e. the rest of US) be expected to just cope with the repercussions when an unvaccinated person gets hospitalised wit Covid????
In fairness we shouldn't!
But we can't imagine abandoning anyone either so what's the fair solution?
REJECT THE VACCINE BUT EXPECT A HEFTY BILL IF YOU'RE THEN HOSPITALISED
It is YOUR right to go independent but it's OUR right not to support the additional costs of YOUR decision
Maybe having to make a responsible decision would be more convincing to the doubters and also alleviate the stresses on our invaluable NHS staff
